Cricket is the game which is the most liked by the people all over the world and this game has more fans than any other game. Well, there is another method of calculating the win of any teams besides the way they reached the total score. And that method is called Duck worth Lewis Calculator.

This method is used to calculate the target of any of the team who is playing one day or T20 cricket match and the game is disturbed or can’t be played longer because of the weather or any condition. Most of the time when the game is interrupted by the weather then this method is used. This is the most correct one method of setting a cricket target score.

If we go in the history of this method, it was formulated by two English statisticians Frank Duckworth and Tony Lewis. And this DL method is mostly used in the International and first class matches. This method is successfully trailed by the year 1997 in international cricket.

Well, when the overs are cut down than any team has two resources in hand, overs to play and wickets in hands. When the overs cut down then it’s not easy and simple to play and set a target because a team which has 25 overs and 10 wickets in hands will not play as good as the team which has 50 overs and 10 wickets in hands. So, this method is the best way to calculate a fair result. As they take into account the score made by the first team, taking their wickets lost and overs played. A published table or a computer is used to calculate the result and it gives the percentage of these resources wickets in hands and overs.

The second team score is calculated and that team must have some runs more than the first team to tie the match and if they can’t reach that score they lose the match. They saw then where the first team was in how many overs at that point and how many wickets they have in their hand. Then they saw the score of the second team at that point and overs and the wickets in hands and calculated a projected score and produce result. So, this is the best way to calculate result according to the performance of the second team.
