The most awaited FIFA tournament is near to start on June 17, 2017 and FIFA Confederation Cup 2017, will be the 10th FIFA Confederations Cup. This is the quadrennial international men’s football tournament planned and organized by the FIFA.  The 2017 cup will be held in Russia on 17 June 2017 and ended on 2 July 2017. The starting time will be the 8 AM PDT. And this will be the preamble to the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The host country Russia was declared as the host in the year 2010, December 2 when the country awarded the hosting rights of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The matches which will be played in Russia will be at four different locations and those locations will be the four different stadiums and in four different cities. And these locations are Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Kazan, and Sochi. The Russia is going to host the FIFA Confederations Cup for the first time and this is the 3rd time that Confederations Cup is going to held in the European continent. Russia automatically qualified for the tournament because they are the host so, they will be joined the six winners of the FIFA Confederation championship and the 2014 FIFA World Cup champions, Germany. Eight teams will be included in the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017.

The teams which will be going to play this tournament are the Russia, Germany, Australia, Chile, Mexico, New Zealand, Portugal, and Cameroon.

Sad news for the fans of Brazil because the defending champion who won the three previous FIFA Confederations Cup in the year 2005, 2009, and 2013 failed to qualify for the very first time since 1995. And the reason behind their disqualifying is the loss on their penalties to Paraguay in the quarter-finals of the 2015 AFC Asian Cup.

The rules and regulations for the fans of the Confederations Cup are that each fan is required to obtain a FAN ID and this FAN ID will help the fans to use public transport free to access the Confederation Cup matches. Well, one can say that this is the nice help for the fans by the Confederations Cup host Russia.

The final will be held at the Saint Petersburg on 2 July, Kazan will host the first semi-final on 28 June, Sochi will host the second semi-final on 29 June, and Moscow will host the third place match on 2nd July.
